WIFI client: Beat the dead spot not the wall

Wondering how come my neighbor who is just 15 meters away from my AP router cannot get enough signals. Sometimes another client will instantly disassociated even though the signal is good - this one puzzles me than the first one. The only suspect is the wide and tall concrete wall between my AP and the remote clients. So here I've installed a passive repeater. Well before that the first thing came to my mind is to install a reflector but that is too complex to construct and costly. At first I doubted it will work - ok just go on with my experiment... who knows? The double bi-quad antenna is easy to build, reliable, and very small - using a 5x10 inch PCB and 16" thin copper wire. Search this home made antenna from the net and find out how easy to construct this stuff. The 2.4 GHz omni antenna at the other end is worth 150 pesos only. The result is a "success" and that's all I can say.

My Silver Red Princess

..Can't wait anymore to drive my newly dressed princess. 1991 when a computer non-sense question-and-answer program conclude and predicted that  people will see me sporting a Honda sport bike someday yeah yeah.. it will never happen! ...I don't like motorbikes... I  want a 2-door BMW or TransAm car or a red F1 instead. I don't want to be like a member of Bioman or Power ranger team wearing helmet because they're look like robots. But here I am busy now with my sportbike. There was a bike show last Saturday in Pasig city..  the red Ducati, Honda DN-01, Yamaha R1/R6 there were my favs and dreaming to have anyone of these someday but this is impossible to be a reality because the prices of those devils could buy you a new house and lot in Laguna. Well try my luck in lotto. Now I'm thinking what will be the name of my princess... Maria Sharapova, Ana Ivanovic, or Nicole Vaidisova?

Z250: DIY Fiberglass Fairing - Intro

Mod time for my motorbike. Fiberglass, resin, gelcoats, core matting, hardener, cobalt accelerator, release wax, mixing can, and tools - I will prepare all of these once my mold is ready. The molding is the main subject of this post - this is the hardest part of the project. I bought then 10 pieces of illustration board from the nearest bookstore. Well this is too much if you're not a beginner. I wasted about 6 of them during the trial & error phase. I saw a lot of home/shop made fairings for sale but I want a unique one -my own design. The picture of Hayabusa, Honda CBR, Ducati, Kawasaki Ninja, Triumph, and Yamaha sportbikes will be my references or inspirations for this mod project.

Burnaby BC: Patterson Ave Tennis Court

This is the place where I belong which is only 15 minutes away from Burke Street or maybe just 5 mins if you have a car. The good thing there ...hmmm no court fee! and there are twelve hard courts available for general public use. Usually I play during weekends either morning or afternoon. For newcomers (like me) once you get there the first thing you will notice is that there are no ballboys. The courts are well-maintained and free from air and noise pollutions and this is located beside the Central park. There are Filipinos, Taiwanese, Chinese, Thailanders, well of course Canadians playing there regularly. I met a lot of Filipino players there and they are very good. They can easily identified a newcomer like me (from the Philippines) because they noticed that I didn't sweat a lot or not at all while playing well this is because of the cold weather - even though its summer when I was there. Most of the time you will see players playing in doubles - mix doubles but I look mostly for players who prefer to play in singles game. At first I can't play well due to jet lag and it took me almost a month of adjustments.

October Cats landed in Grouse & Seymour mountains

Almost heaven! Mt. Seymour Provincial Park ...hmmm yes just another nice place in north Vancouver and very popular for skiing and snowboarding during winter. The Grouse mountain is well-known place for skiers, hiking, and tourist attraction. This is completely different and completely unique to have these mountains located near the downtown Vancouver. Unfortunately we didn't see the snow-coated trees in the upper part of these mountains because October is autumn or fall season. I set my Casio Protrek watch to monitor our altitude while driving our way to Mt. Seymour. The mountain has a varied terrain with a great mix of slopes and zigzag roads and really a great family destination all year round. We then reached the end of the long and winding Mt. Seymour Road after one hour. I took a lot of video shots there using my camphone. Then we proceed to our next destination, the Grouse mountain. Skyride? Yeshhh! Skyride just 35 dollars for an adult passenger which will bring you to the top of Grouse mountain. So what's next? The Capilano's half kilometer suspension bridge or the Capilano River Regional Park? The group decided to proceed to Capilano Salmon Hatchery to see live Coho, Chinook, and Steelhead salmons there. The one attracted me most is the scenic beauty of Capilano River Regional Park. Oct 25, 2008 is one of the unforgettable day in my life. Meowww!
